There’s no way Everton will be able to keep midfielder Idrissa Gueye away from bigger clubs. If PSG comes knocking again, he will leave.

Everton the big spenders over the last two seasons find themselves in a similar place as they did last season, regardless that they have a new man at the helm. Marco Silva’s side has fallen off the map and if they not careful, relegation could be calling Everton out.

In the Toffees last 10 fixtures they have only managed three wins and have collected a bag full of seven losses across all competitions. They sit in 9th place, leaving them to lay level on points with two other teams, West Ham (10th place) and Bournemouth (11th place) in the English Premier League table.

In this time, a high of 14 goals has been conceded by Everton, making them one of the highest conceding teams over 10 games. What makes matters worse, they failed to register a goal in four of those games.

This leaves the atmosphere at Goodison Park unpleasant. So much so, big teams are looking in on the Toffees’ top crop.

Idrissa Gueye will be moving away

One player who almost made a late move to PSG during the January transfer window was Idrissa Gueye. He was adamant to leave the club, while PSG’s bid rejected. Not much has changed since then.

The Senegalese midfielder is hopeful the Parisians will come back in and make a better bid for him. If the Merseysiders miss their chances at European football ( I believe they will do just that), they will lose their general.

Taken from L’Equipe:

"It is a dream that sadly did not come true. Every player works to join the best teams, to play in matches in the Champions League. But I was honoured that PSG were interested in me. Now, I know that I am of interest to these types of clubs, I am ready to go to the final level to join a top European club.I am going to work even more so that they come back to me. Maybe it is not finished with PSG."

The French club is about to lose a key player from their midfielder to Barcelona, as it was reported a day ago. Adrien Rabiot, a prime target for many clubs runs out of contract at the end of the season and was split between clubs and making a decision.

With him on the move, the Paris outfit will want to replace him in hastily fashion, and because of Gueye already being a prime target for them, he will probably be the main target in the summer window again.

What adds to this, the French champs are in search of cheaper buys after investing all their money up front. If they are to offload Neymar to Real Madrid, as rumour has it, it will see a lot of funds freed up for them to obtain the players they need and want.

This man will definitely be on his way out at the end of the season.
