The last of the top six ventured onto the pitch in their respective fixtures on Sunday afternoon in the English Premier League. Of the three, two came away successful, claiming three points apiece.

Only four teams played in the last two fixtures of the weekend before Monday Night Football was taken over by Wolves and Newcastle to end Matchday 26. Even though there were only two stadiums hosting events there was a substantial tally of goals scored to the double-digit figure of 10. Six belonged to one team and four between the other two in other fixture.

Leicester City’s breakdown on their travels to Tottenham

Leicester City’s travels to Tottenham was the first of the day and a day Jamie Vardy would want to forget. Well, at least four minutes of the game

Not your regular Vardy from 12 yards out when he stepped up and kicked off. The Englishman could have tilted things in Claude’s favour but failed miserably from the spot.

It was all Mauricio’s men, who applied a better fight as if they were lifted from the way the points situation works in their favour ahead of the match. Spurs kept it till late before putting the game out of reach from the Foxes.

The sad reality is that if Tottenham only needed three goals to keep the three points out of Leicester’s reach, what exactly do you call what Pep’s Man City did to Chelsea?

Man City’s training match vs. Chelsea

The champions played exactly like champions. Led by a champion, in champion fashion, for champions’ glory. Pep could relax in his seat when his side rudely welcomed Maurizio Sarri’s men to the Etihad Stadium.

Chelsea either didn’t show up or insert any playing credits, because they without a doubt never took part in Super Sunday Matchday 26. Not only did the Citizens demolish them by six goals, but Chelsea also had no replies sent to City’s inbox.

It was disgustingly poor, to say the least. Sarri was the icing on the cake, as he walked into the tunnel angrily, without shaking Pep’s hand. Shocking scenes at the Etihad once again, but Pep walks into his next Premier League fixture like a boss.

Not really Super Sunday after the one-sided affair in Manchester, but certainly two sides showing they were super on Sunday past. With that being said, one team showcased how far superior they are to the rest of the English Premier League.
