All the European action is back and reaches the stages where we witness all the heartache, late drama, and the world’s countless elite try to carry their teams to the end.

In the Round Robin, the English teams had their work cut out for them, with only Pep’s men cruising through to the knockout stages. Two groups, Group B and Group C, involving Tottenham and Liverpool, respectively, could both be regarded as “Groups of Death”.

Man City of the lot, stumbled out the blocks, but soon became their usual free-flowing and machine gun firing selves, as the group stages wore on. United was a boring version of what they are now, however, we know that’s due to the tedious implementation of Jose Mourinho. They too made qualifying a bit of a breeze for themselves, anyway.

In this post, we will take a brief look back at who of the top four from the English Premier League was the worst and the best in their group stages.
