It’s also fair to say that Sarri hasn’t helped himself. He has questioned the motivation of players very openly and has said that he doesn’t have a Plan B -something not everyone in England reacts positively to.

The way it happened for Mourinho at Manchester United, it can only make matters worse for players, instead of getting them back the way it could have 15 years ago. Football was different back then.

The reaction to the defeat at Bournemouth wouldn’t have helped get the staff or players on his side. He locked just himself and the players inside and kept the staff out. Things like these don’t contribute positively to a manager’s reputation amongst his coworkers. The players – they are of different kinds these days too. Ask Jose Mourinho.

His English skills aren’t the best. And conveying a point becomes even more difficult, especially when that point itself is a complex one. Since Sarri hasn’t won trophies, it makes many question the credibility of the style – will it work or will it not?

One can easily sit and wonder if Sarri will be handed money to spend in the summer. The way things are going, Sarri won’t last till the summer. He will become a victim of the club’s DNA and its inability to accept newer principles.

Sarri deserves better. He deserves a different club. Not because Chelsea are a bad club, but they aren’t his type of club.
