The reaction of every defeat that Chelsea suffer picks out Jorginho as a scapegoat. Granted, he’s been poor in the games they lose.

However, the reason why he’s there is that he will form the foundation of making Sarriball work at Chelsea. But he can’t do that alone.

The players around him should get the idea of what it means. And as evident from what happened at Napoli, it takes time for a player to play that way. Or else, the club buys players who already play that way. Players like Elseid Hysaj or players like Faouzi Ghoulam.

That is where a problem lies too. The players have become used to playing a completely different brand of football. Its almost like they’ve been brainwashed to play that way under every manager. Be it Mourinho, Benitez, Di Matteo, or Conte.

Sarri’s style would come as a cultural shock to them. A cultural shock that they are struggling to get to grips with. Exactly why they looked utterly hapless at the Eastlands. Sarriball is a completely different world for them.
