It was an eventful Matchweek 25 in the Premier League over the weekend, as nearly every match is starting to play a crucial piece in the 4 races for positions going on all across the table:

the title race, currently contested by Liverpool, Manchester City, and Spurs, the top 4 race featuring Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal, the Europa League race contested by Wolves, Watford, Everton, Bournemouth, Leicester, and West Ham, and of course the race for safety down at the bottom which many sides are worrying about. The weekend was filled with thrilling matches, with the single one on Monday between Liverpool and West Ham rounding out the matchweek:

Saturday:

Spurs 1 Newcastle 0:

The matchweek kicked off in London with Spurs taking on Newcastle at Wembley stadium. The Magpies were just coming off a stunning midweek victory over Manchester City of all clubs and were hoping to pull off a 2nd consecutive shock result over a top 6 side, taking on Spurs. For nearly the entire match, a shock was on the cards as Spurs were struggling in front of goal, still missing Harry Kane and Dele Alli to bits, and Newcastle played well, particularly at the back.

Unfortunately for them, the one player who continues to carry Spurs on his back, Heung-Min Son, scored a late goal to keep Spurs alive in the title race.
