Smart trade for all involved. Chelsea and Sarri look as if there is no trust in the Brazillian, while the Stamford Bridge crowd have found it tough to show him love in recent months.

Willian has been on the move for many seasons running to this transfer window. He has been exactly like Hazard when thinking the two’s form and exit talks. One season either of the two will be red hot, chilli pepping. The next, colder and almost frozen, as if a gas drink was left in the fridge for a couple of days.

During the summer before the window started, Chelsea has been looking to offload to Barcelona. The move came close a number of times, but never really materialised from the paper talk. After staying at Stamford Bridge, Willian has been inconsistent. This a carryover from last season, where he wasn’t anything like the season before that.

The season afore, the fancy Brazillian was a major contribution to Antonio Conte’s winning campaign. Now it appears the intervals between in form and poor on the pitch, come more frequently and quicker than it should.

Sarri has lost his trust in him

Sarri wants more players in who can take on his style of football. At first, it was thriving in London but then took a turn for the worst and since then, Sarri has found it hard to get his message and idea across to the players.

Willian has been on the fringe long enough to show he is one of those players not taking anything in. In 34 appearances this season, the winger has only contributed seven goals and six assists. Way below the mark for a player of his outstanding quality.

Why will PSG be the destination?

They need somebody to come in and take the batten from Neymar in his absence. The world-class forward will be out for about 10 weeks with some important Champions League ties coming up. Paris’ first leg in the Round of 16 comes against Man United.

They will be looking for firepower in fixtures such as this one So Willian will be a good addition as he needs a fresh start. A lot of flirting and no real images of Willian in a Jordan Paris kit yet. But a deal is being discussed and it’s a deal all at the table wants.
