The other top six side that participated was the complex entity that is Tottenham Hotspur.

While suffering a rash of injuries, Spurs have greatly struggled to cope. The most recent example of this is being eliminated by Chelsea in the EFL Cup semi-final at Stamford Bridge.

Tottenham fell, rather hopelessly to Crystal Palace by a score of 2-0. This game can be highlighted by a simple kick and that rifled off of the boot of Kieran Trippier. He unfurled his penalty kick well-wide of goal, augmenting the feeling of hopelessness.

The other interesting results were a Wolves and Shrewsbury draw at 2-2; Millwall’s late heroics against Everton to the tune of a 3-2 victory; and a rather sizable 4-2 defeat of West Ham by AFC Wimbledon. The only EPL teams that will be replaying are Wolves against Shrewsbury and Brighton against West Brom.
