As long as Klopp stays at the club, the more youngsters like Trent will want to come to Anfield and play their trade on Merseyside soil.

Trent has surpassed various fullbacks who were classified as first-teamers for several seasons afore the young Englishman. At 20-years of age, he has kept many regulars out of the team. Most notably was loaned out, Nathaniel Clyne.

The latter shipped off from the Merseyside shores to join Eddie Howe at Bournemouth. James Milner, Alberto Moreno, and even Gomez are overlooked for the well-established Trent Alexander-Arnold. Gomez only because he is recognised as one of the first-choice centre-backs now.

Since the season of 2016/2017, Arnold has made 58 appearances for Liverpool in the Premier League and Champions League. This EPL course Arnold has hit the ground running, along with Robbo the two have been a major outlet in attack and in defence for the Reds. Trent has three assists and a goal so far, showing how important the flanks are to the Reds.

Unfortunately, he has been sidelined for a couple of weeks with a knee injury. He missed the narrow 4-3 victory over Crystal Palace. Hopefully, he will be back soon and playing, as the Reds face an obvious dilemma in the backline. No James after two yellows and no Clyne cause he’s at a Vitality gathering. Only Fabinho could slot in there.
