A rather strange notion to think how important it was for Klopp’s Liverpool side to beat Roy’s Crystal Palace. Comparing now to 2013/2014, the Reds actually look a team who could lift the Premier League title.

It was a huge test at Anfield on Saturday when the league leaders took on a team accustomed to kicking the Reds in the midsection, sucking all their hopes and dreams out of their Premier League campaigns. Palace even had a hand in their 2013/2014 title-slip.

The Eagles were the first who drew blood but struggled to contain the home team at Anfield. Wilfried Zaha and co came out with a substantial game plan, almost working to the T.

Andros Townsend sent Palace into a frenzy when he put his side ahead. The words were uttered, “Is Crystal Palace going to do it again?” Man City felt the wrath of the Soaring Eagles, Liverpool were on route to suffering from the same fate.

Salah’s brace put him in the record books, as well as cancelled out Townsend’s go-ahead goal, tilting the score in Klopp’s favour. Roy’s men came back with an equalizer through a set piece put away by defender James Tomkins, arranging the results even more in favour of how it went down in the victory over City at the Etihad.
