It’s Matchday 23 in the English Premier League and Manchester United host Brighton at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.

Brighton has caused Manchester United a lot of troubles over the past twelve months as they recorded two victories against Man United in the premier league both at Amex stadium, most recently an impressive 3-2 against Man United earlier this season.

Manchester United have never lost a game against Brighton at Old Trafford, with the reverse match at Old Trafford in last season, Man United triumphed winners, as they recorded a 1-0 win through Lewis Dunk’s own goal.

What’s the current situation at Man United?

Manchester United are currently a different side since the last time they played Brighton. This is because Jose Mourinho was sacked last month and He was replaced by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Apparently, Solskjaer has instilled the attacking philosophy of the Old Man United and most Man United players such as the likes of Pogba and Rashford seem to be different players altogether, from the ones that played under Mourinho.

Solskjær’s reign as the caretaker boss has seen him rack up 6 consecutive victories becoming the first ever Manchester United boss to do so. The most recent win was a 1-0 victory against Spurs. This has helped them get within inches from fifth place on the Premier League table.

In his first three matches as a Red Devils’ manager, Solskjaer ‘s team had failed to keep a clean sheet. But during the last three matches in all competitions, the Old Trafford side has been able to keep a clean sheet in all of those three games.

The  Red  Devils are currently sixth in the League table, six points below the last spot on the top four spot.
