We couldn’t ask for a better ending to Matchday 22 with “New-Nited” travelling to Spurs, while Man City get on that Reds pursuit in Monday Night Football against an inform Wolves.

The return of Super Sunday comes with a boom and bang! Yes, there are only two fixtures for the day. Nevertheless, the two ties feature teams who are worth the special watch. Everton welcomes Bournemouth to Goodison Park and the highlight of the day, Man United’s trip to Wembley stadium, where they slug it out against Spurs.

It’s an all or nothing type of Sunday in the English Premier League. Who would have thought it would be 11th place entertaining 12th place and third place looking for the double over sixth place? In another lifetime it would be all in favour of Spurs but the United stepping up to the plate has a feel of old gold. So the change in stewardship has affected the encounter dramatically, creating a more anticipated fixture than the previous one.

Recap of Saturday

Arsenal didn’t show up against their opponents inside the Olympic stadium and let the Hammers pull off the biggest surprise of the day. An assist from debutant Samir Nasri allowed Declan Rice to score the winning goal and the only goal of the game.

Klopp and Liverpool continue to be efficient and sufficient as they push seven points clear of City. Southampton drives up the table out of the drop zone, while Cardiff City, Huddersfield, Fulham and Newcastle struggles extend.

Burnley makes it three wins on the turnaround, while Watford took three points at Selhurst Park. Leicester’s on a run of two bad results in the FA Cup and the Premier League and give Sunday’s teams playing the early slot a chance to close in on their position. Chelsea keeps themselves six points adrift from the two teams closest to them, Arsenal and Man United.

Saturday action at its best but now back to Sunday’s drama that’s about to unfold.

Everton vs. Bournemouth

It’s a fight for 11th place and a fight to stay out of 12th place. With West Ham climbing, Leicester losing their way and Wolves playing Man City, both teams must know what three points are worth in this duel.

Everton feature as the drivers in this tie. However, this only by goal difference and an unbeaten run against the Cherries at Goodison Park in recent times (unbeaten in three games). Bournemouth is at the risk of making it four games with no win, while the hosts Everton are in a similar way, but are on a run of two games without a win. Both teams will battle it out for three points until the final whistle blows, as they both do not want to find that successive loss.

Everton’s 11th place consists of a run of seven wins, six draws, and eight losses. The challengers Bournemouth have won eight games, drawn three, and lost 10 games. Different results with the same outcome and points situation, exactly the way of the English Premier League.

Silva should have a full squad to choose from, while Eddie has some late fitness test on extremely important players. The Cherries look set to debut Nathaniel Clyne at fullback. He should get the nod as he has the quality to be a class right back. Hopefully, he will have refreshing news all are fit and we have Everton’s best 11 taking on Bournemouth’s best 11.
