The final game ended in shame for the Reds but was a time to celebrate for Wolves. Who marches on to the 4th Round after the busy 3rd Round concluded.

After 32 fixtures ran out over the weekend in the 3rd Round of the FA Cup, 28 teams saw victory and proceed to the next round of the cup. Of the 32 games, four will be replayed come next Tuesday, 15 January and Wednesday, 16 January.

In the midst of all things FA Cup, not all Premier League clubs were victorious in their respective ties. Two fixtures featured four EPL teams so a win was mandatory for two of those four to be evicted out of the oldest English cup.

The highest scorers of the 3rd Round was none other Manchester City, who should be feared and considered extremely dangerous once again. The only team to match them in the round was Tottenham. The team who put Kane on to equal the tally. The sportsmanship runs deep in their veins.

Stand out events

Liverpool played the youngest player ever in the FA Cup when Ki-Jana Hoever came on for the injured Dejan Lovren. Praised by the manager and fans, the kid has a bright future at just 16-years-old.

On the flip side of this, Wolves pulled off the best victory over the Reds in the final game of the 3rd Round. The talented youngster was not enough, as Liverpool fell victim to Simon Mignolet’s mysterious goalkeeping once again.

The most disappointing of the lot has to be Fulham and Leicester City. This is where they could have redeemed their dreadful campaigns, one needing a save more than the other. However, winning the FA Cup was not on the list of priorities for the season.

Bristol City, Gillingham, Newport County and Oldham were on point and pulled off surprising victories over Premier League clubs. Funny old cup but not that strange as we’ve come accustomed to smaller clubs taking out the bigger Premier League clubs.
