It was a long night for Watford. If better decisions were made in the early stages of the game, the scoreline would have probably reflected differently.

Pep’s men ran circles around Gracia’s men and passed squares around them too. They relentlessly ate up all of Watford’s pressure and gave them 29% of the match possession.

It was your typical Man City performance and their was nothing the homegrown fans could do but enjoy the football being showcased on the pitch. The only reason Watford stayed in the game was thanks to a Man-of-the-Match display from goalkeeper, Ben Foster. The stopper made five crucial saves and one commanding tackle.

Goals from Leroy Sane and Riyad Mahrez was enough to see out three points. Midfielder Doucoure scored a goal deep in the second half and way to late to make anything more than a slight dent in the visiting team’s performance. Another game without a clean sheet but again five points a gap from closest runners Liverpool – but they will have to wait to see if it stands.
