Roy’s men have been inconsistent to say the least. They will be looking to make it their first set of victories back-to-back, as the two in the other fixture. Especially against this arch rival.

Since the league kicked off Palace have lost consecutively almost. This stats needs to change as they only sit three points above the drop and a win away from a rise up the table. Brighton off the back of a great victory on the road. Yet, so are Roy and his men ready for tonight, after Selhurst Park glory.

Everything lies in the balance with both teams having great preparations for this one.

It will be a well-contested battle with one of the better teams defensively, taken on one of the worst defending team in the league. The Seagulls’ high 11th place is only six points from the Eagles low 14th place. A loss for palace could strike significant damage and see them approach that drop zone again.

A big thing is the news of crowd trouble ahead of this one. There will be a high presence of security and police – making sure no incidents happen. We’ve already seen a couple of teams and manager been charged by the FA, they do not want to follow suit.

Chris Hughes will be hoping for the same as Roy and the game is well-matched and the real fight takes place on the pitch between 90 minutes of football. How many times will we see hero, Glen Murray play in this allotted fixtures? Certainly, key to the Seagulls success and will only feature for a half I’d say. But a start is definitely on the cards.

Many players to pick from as mentioned by the manager, so keen to see who he sets out on the pitch in this fierce rivalry between Brighton and Crystal Palace at the Amex stadium.
