Both teams high flyers after their weekend’s triumphs. What it has inevitably caused… Is for this one to be a great encounter.

After West Ham’s hammering over Newcastle the weekend, it’s hard to count them out of this fixture for a win. Cardiff pulled off a big shocker although they played at home. A win over Wolves was exactly what the Welsh team needed at the start of a busy selection of fixtures.

But what they search for in this one is a record that has been hard to maintain or not accomplished yet, that’s back-to-back wins. Funny enough, Manuel Pellegrini averages a win, a loss, a draw. And then again, a win, a loss, a draw. Trying to push for two wins in as many has been a feet many teams haven’t been able to do this season, with the competition so stiff.

The home manager mentioned better form in front of goal was key to their success in their Newcastle clash prior to this. Stating clearly the same team is available for the picking as well, but news of Cresswell being injured and a major doubt came to light. There are others who join the fullback in the “not so sure” section, so will be interesting to see tonight’s lineup.

Cardiff will have many absent as well, but can run in with confidence into this knowing the home  record is poor here at the London stadium. Taking points away from home, could actually be a gift that keeps on giving here at the Olympic stadium.
