Following the tragic death of Leicester owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha in October, the EPL and indeed the football world has been in mourning.

This week’s game against Watford at the King Power was only Leicester’s second at home following the crash.

Incidentally, the game finished 2-0 to Leicester – however events off the pitch were more eye-catching. In a wonderful gesture of solidarity, a Watford fan group – the 1881 Movement – unfurled banners commemorating “Khun Vichai”.

One banner read “Thank you Vichai for allowing us all to dream. Rest in peace.” In response to the class gesture, Vichai’s son and Leicester vice-chairman – Aiyawatt are said to have immediately made food and drinks free for away supporters, complimentary from his family, as a thank you.

An all-round heartwarming episode that renews faith in football’s unifying ability – making both clubs, their respective fans and managements undoubted winners.
