It’s not all roses and rainbows for Liverpool anymore. Or is it sunshine and bright skies? Either or, the Reds are having none of it this Champions League.

Another defeat suffered on the road in the Champions League this term for the Reds. You want to compare chalk and cheese, quick? Unbeaten till the second leg of the semifinals last run, earning them a runners-up medal. This time around, suffering three defeats in as many on the road.

Tactics changed and somehow results have too. However, in saying this, the Reds remain unbeaten in their domestic run and have let in less goals (5) over a longer stretch of games (13). Near impressive, but the reigning champs are on that five-goal conceding record also.

So there’s nothing fantastic if another team’s busy with the same business and doing better on all fronts still – all while you waiting for another cup, on the brink of exiting one, and have already failed miserably at the first one.

Now in this strange case study of Fabinho…

Klopp spoke strongly of rotation last season and used it effortlessly in the league and European run. Now with it adapted so well prior to this season, why’s it a problem to be used now? Especially in a condition such as Liverpool’s, Fabinho should plugging right in.

Yet, he is not!

The Champions League offers more flair, touches on the ball, easy on the eye type of football. The English Premier League, the rugged, fast-paced English style, not cutout for every world-class player to grace this planet earth – are all key in the integration of players into an English team, any team for that matter.

So it’s easy to understand the fitting in needed, as well as the time it would take Fabinho, the defensive minded player to get involved. Although, to not play him over Henderson in a game where a bit more flair and creative-minded players are needed, makes no sense.

Fabinho has been sitting too long on the bench, and should be frustrated with his playing time handed to him. He has only started four games for the Reds in the Premier League and Champions League. In the two competitions, the Reds have played 18 fixtures to date. With the three losses obtained, he should have been more than a sub and thought.

dark. Next. De Gea continues to be linked to PSG

Now recent times makes it harder.

If he is really frustrated and the club’s ready to part ways, as reported? Then I cannot understand why Liverpool are staying with a player like Henderson. Milner has more quality, plus experience and they serve the same purpose, why is he still a starter over a renowned player such as the Brazilian.

Klopp got it wrong and needs to fix his midfield that lacks creativity – this while a creative man sits and joins in on the action as spectator.
