Make your move! We just over a month from the January transfer window, and lots of talk around teams in search of new players as they prep to get deals done early.

Matchday 13 just finished after Monday Night Football stunned us with a rare Newcastle win for Rafa on the road. As we get ready for some great action in the Champions League, teams go behind the scenes to complete the business off the pitch.

Either renewing contracts of important players, or young players. Or, even trying to get new players in before the window opens – giving the player more time to settle in. Now, more than ever, has this January window been this important.

With the summer window shutting down before the season kicks off, it made teams business fall apart, losing some needed transfers on the final day. Question we need to ask… will we see a record-breaking move during this small, important window again?

Manchester City’s link to Zack Steffen

More from Manchester City

Manchester City’s latest link is a surprising one. Sky Sports and other tabloids have stated and insisted that the Blues are set to make a move for USA stopper, Zack Steffen. A deal said for the 23-year-old is said to be close to being agreed on, by both clubs.

City’s said to be the hasty party in this deal, as they push for it to be completed before window opens. The Citizens already has two well-established goalkeepers for first choice and second choice. One in the shape of Ederson and the other in the shape of, Claudio Bravo.

What now… Bravo!

But as it was reported, the Chilean sustained a season-ending injury, and the time to act for the board and Pep is now. Last season a similar situation hit with an even more important piece to Pep’s team got injured and was out for the entire campaign.

A transfer was made, a season saved, and a couple of trophies claimed – this all after losing Mendy to injury and signing Laporte. It was worth it then, and to be quick on the reaction of the problem of overusing Ederson, seems only smart. If something works, stick to it and practice it to make it quite effective for yourself – and this is exactly what the club is doing under Pep.

Next. De Gea continues to be heavily linked to PSG. dark

Good business on two counts. One for the precaution of the injury and stopping the use of one keeper too much. They other – we can’t keep doubting Pep’s business if it’s been working so well. High prices and all.
