An extremely better outcome for England after both Manchester clubs claimed bragging rights in the start of the second round.
Besides Pep getting tired of celebrating on the sideline, Jose Mourinho left the Allianz Stadium smiling brightly with a great comeback in a well-defended clash against Juventus. It was a night fit for Manchester then I supposed.
Man United better their chances and keep loads of criticism at bay with this victory. The blue side of Manchester brag another week at the top and unmoved by anybody they come up against. A goal-feast once again. Jesus got to take the match ball home but was he the star of the show?

Juventus got what they deserved. Yes, banter is ripe for all things United and Mourinho, but the chants swinging around the Allianz Stadium was in need of a silencing. Rightfully so, the hush-hush blow came in the final minutes of the game.
It was a tie that went against the law of physics, but you can say it was a well worked defensive display by the Red Devils – something they’ve struggled to get for the entire season to date. The bus was out, but it was a decorated bus, with colours, vibrant, and a bit more entertaining to watch the parked bus.
Yes, it was old United faithful, Ronaldo to draw first blood, but it was the sweet strike from super sub, Juan Mata that made Ronaldo’s goal not matter at all when the final whistle blew. I actually felt warm inside watching Mourinho walk off the pitch with that smug look upon his face. The winning goal came late in the dying minutes came from an own goal thanks to Leonardo Bonucci.
United put them self in a place where they can lay the hate to sleep for another week. David de Gea deserves all the praises here in this one. Man of the Match performance no doubt.
Group F

Were you expecting anything less from Pep? (Manchester City 6-0 Shakhtar Donetsk)
When one player goes missing or is absent (which is barely the case in this City squad) up steps another and takes the reins and helps their team ride majestic in either, the Champions League or Premier League.
City with another ones-sided affair as they reach hotter and hotter form, week after week. The inclusion of Riyad has been masterful. Playing at the peak of his powers around other players playing at their peaks of their powers – six goals to no answer doesn’t even begin to explain it.
Leading the way in Group F, City really only has Lyon to worry about. Other than that, nothing or nobody can knock them off their horse at the moment. Man of the Match for this one, new boy Riyad Mahrez although there was a hat-trick hero.
