Coming off the back off a midweek win in the Europa League, Sarri’s men will be looking for a statement win against the struggling Clarets.

With only two wins from the first nine Premier League games, Burnley have crashed back down to earth after the heady days of last season. The defensive solidity that has characterised Dyche’s reign appears to have abandoned them this season, exposing their lack of a true-goalscoring striker up front.

No Burnley player has more than two league goals so far, and as a side they are barely averaging a goal a game. The early start to the season has not helped them, with their brief sojourn into the Europa League coming at a cost.

Chelsea, on the other hand, are flying. They escaped with a draw last weekend, despite being outplayed for the entire second half against Man United. They are armed with Eden Hazard, arguably the best player in the league. They remain just two points behind City and Liverpool going into the weekend’s games.

The title dream is well and truly alive for Chelsea, and Maurizio Sarri looks to emulate his Italian predecessors Carlo Ancelotti and Antonio Conte in bringing the Premier League trophy to the Bridge.

After his hat trick in midweek, Ruben Loftus-Cheek will be keen to get another chance to prove himself, while Ross Barkley has been in sparkling form under the new boss. The good times look set to roll on for the Blues this week, and anything more than a resounding defeat will be a positive for Burnley.

Prediction: Burnley 0-3 Chelsea
