A slower day in the EPL that was marred by a terrible accident in Leicester. The events of the day in the Premier League.

Brighton 1-0 Wolves

Murray scored his 100th goal for Brighton in the Seagulls third straight win; the first time they have done that in a Premier League season. As the Seagulls fly high, Wolves have leveled out with a second straight loss. The win propels Brighton near the top ten and has them one point behind Wolves.

Glenn Murray’s goal scoring form has been phenomenal this season and he will look to keep that going next weekend at Everton. Wolves are in a bit of a funk and face the North London clubs in their next two matches.

Southampton 0-0 Newcastle

The Saints and Newcastle are in some really bad funks after a very boring 0-0 draw at St. Mary’s Stadium. Newcastle has yet to win a game this season and Southampton hasn’t scored in five consecutive Premier League matches. It’s a busier week for Southampton than Newcastle with Mark Hughes’ men playing twice next week; a League Cup Round of 16 tie with Leicester and then at Man City. Newcastle goes again next Saturday at Watford.
