THE PREMIER LEAGUE IS BACK! Before we resume play, here are the latest power rankings two weeks after the last games.

Last Match: L 0-1 at. Tottenham

Next Match: SAT vs. Fulham

The Bluebirds replace Huddersfield Town as the worst team in the Premier League after their loss to Tottenham in matchday eight. Cardiff had some good moments against Arsenal and Chelsea but are now on a really dangerous path to relegation. Saturday’s match against Fulham in Wales in our first early relegation battle, six-pointer.

Last Match: L 2-3 at. Manchester United

Next Match: SAT vs. Brighton & Hove Albion

How could Newcastle blow a 2-0 lead to Man United? Easy. Their defense is slow and they got lucky to score those two quick goals in the first half on David De Gea. The Magpies have yet to win a game and a home contest against Brighton is a complete toss-up to resume Premier League play.

Last Match: L 1-5 vs. Arsenal

Next Match: SAT at. Cardiff City

Fulham officially has the worst defense in the Premier League after their 5-1 loss to Arsenal two weeks ago. The Cottagers sit with 21 goals conceded and a minus 15 goal differential. That 4-2 win over Burnley is the only thing keeping Jokanovic’s men from sitting in the relegation zone. That could very well be in the bottom three if they fall to Cardiff.

Last Match: D 1-1 at. Burnley

Next Match: SAT vs. Liverpool

The Terriers got a very important draw against Burnley to put them in 17th in the power rankings and 18th in the table. The defense has slowly improved after conceding a boat load of goals at the beginning of the year. The offensive struggle is still apparent as Huddersfield haven’t scored twice in a game once this season.

Last Match: L 0-1 vs. Wolves

Next Match: SUN at. Everton

Palace’s performances have been hits or misses. Unfortunately for Roy Hodgson, the performances have been more misses than hits. Crystal Palace is in a similar position to Huddersfield offensively with very few goals and one game with two goals. Wilfried Zaha and company have a Sunday game at Everton to break their losing streak.
