A comeback for the ages by Manchester United was the story of the day as matchday eight continued in the Premier League.

Tottenham 1-0 Cardiff

Spurs keep Cardiff winless and actually put them in last place in the league table with a 1-0 win at Wembley. The lone goal of the match came from Eric Dier in the 8th minute. The rest of the match was missed conversion after missed chance for Tottenham, the first team not to score more than one goal against Cardiff since Huddersfield got shut out by them on August 25th.

Tottenham have a quiet 18 points and will remain in the top-six after Sunday. Most of Spurs players will stay busy during the international break before they have to play four matches in 11 days to end October. Cardiff City have lost six consecutive matches in all competitions and will host Fulham in a newly-promoted battle on Saturday, October 20th
