One of the two fixtures in this slot host’s one of the three teams, in the three-horse race for this edition’s title glory.

Man City 2-0 Brighton

The leaders are back where they belong! For how long though? Nobody knows, but just the fact you sit their in the top spot, you have some sort of a victory over each of your other title rivals. Brighton never made it easy for Pep’s men.

The visitors only conceded a goal in each half of the game, inside a place where goals are made as if they were playing on the training ground. Brighton have been decent when facing top-of-the-table opposition. This was another case of it.

English sensation Sterling (only at club level that is) and hitman Aguero, were on target on either end of the pitch, respectfully. The two takes City’s goal tally to 21 goals in total, edging Liverpool with a better goal difference.

Brighton have been decent as put earlier. Nevertheless, playing well and getting results is one thing. But playing well and not getting the result still leaves you three points adrift from one of the last places. Hopefully things can change for the Seagulls and Chris.

Everton 3-0 Fulham

A bit of a stop and start season for both these teams. When they met, it was the home side who took their chances. No goals for the visitors gave Goodison Park lots of joy during the afternoon.

Everton’s 19 shots on goal had to be rewarded and three goals is just a small price Fulham paid. Exposed many times by a good Everton attack, the travellers were spectators for most of the match.

The Toffees bounce back and get three, while Fulham have only taken two points from the last four fixtures. Everton stays mid table while the Craven Cottage side hops around the bottom end of the table.
