English Premier League: ICYM all the action and entertainment – Matchday 7 Saturday
One team has really rang the alarm bells since joining the Premier League, while the other keeps their cool on the trot this time.
Wolves 2-0 Southampton
Facing the newbies in their own den is not the easiest of tasks this season. Another victim claimed on the turf of the Wolves. Mark Hughes was hoping for a repeat of their trip to Selhurst Park, grievously, his hardworking Saints team suffered to a far more determined Wolves side.
They almost left Molineux stadium with a point when the game went scoreless all the way to the 78th minute. It was then, Ivan Cavaleiro and Jonathan Castro Otto struck two goals in the space of 10 minutes. The three points collected gives Wolves the move to sit in 8th place, while Southampton drop to familiar depths in 16th place.

Newcastle 0-2 Leicester City
Rafa keeping things exciting again for the Toon Army? He’ll be hoping his none-funded squad can do the business later because now, not even St. James Park can help them find a way out of the drop zone.
An early gift from 12 yards out allowed Vardy to score from the spot and spurred Harry Maguire on to play what was one of his best games for the season. The second and only other goal of the game came in the second half and was again from a dead ball situation.

Nothing to write home about with one of the dumbest blocks I’ve seen in the box. Newcastle have been poor and with Puel’s lineup they should be doing better, week in and out. However, three points are three points, even though there were no goals from open play.
