English Premier League: Top 5 goals of Matchday 5 – Catchup on action
It was a pity this goal was not enough to secure the three points on the final game of MD5.
The debate if this one was better than Matchday four’s best seller by Kyle Walker was brought up. From the discussion, it was easy to decide between the two. This one by Hojbjerg was the winner, hands down.
A strike out of nowhere shocked all viewing the end-to-end action at St. Mary’s. He was given too much time on the ball. Yes, he picked his place, but the execution was sublime. Many would say the keeper could have done more. However, there was just too much perfection in the motion of it all.
I’m sorry, it’s very cliché but… It was poetry in motion. Southampton failed Pierre when they didn’t shut up shop and take all the spoils, after a two-goal lead.
Always worth the mention, those not on the top five, but net busters no doubt… Willian’s goal, Xhaka’s free-kick and Sterling.
