The first match of Group C will certainly raise the bar and determine who will likely top the group. Two of the best meet when PSG travels to Liverpool.

Expecting there to be a ruckus around Anfield stadium later this evening, when Liverpool welcomes star-filled, Paris Saint-Germain to their famous and renowned European nights. The Anfield crowd will never let the Parisians forget their visit to one of the noisiest stadiums in the world.

The beauty of it all is the team visiting and what they have to showcase on the pitch. Naming some of the biggest talents in the world in Neymar, Mbappe, Cavani, and Di Maria – the list goes on. The Reds will have their hands full in their most trialling gauntlet in Europe.

Despite saying this – PSG has everything to worry about, with Mane and Salah going at them. It would be great to add Roberto Firmino to those two names aforementioned, but he’s only just made the squad – according to recent reports.

Let us not forget – these two clubs were the leading goal scorers in last season’s Champions League run coming out of the group stages. After PSG got knocked out of the tournament it was all Liverpool.

The Reds’ front three became the first three to score 10 or more goals in a single UCL campaign. Very familiar foes are these two managers heading into this monstrous clash. Thomas Tuchel will be seeking the deadliest revenge known to happen on a football pitch after what happened last time.

The duo previously met during Klopp’s first season at Liverpool – taking the Anfield side past the German’s old side, Borussia Dortmund. Two legs that went down in the folklore of Liverpool’s greatest ever hits.

All the emotions attached to the managers, the teams and the quality mixed – gives it the perfect atmosphere to be the best of the Match Week 1, in the Champions League.
