Wolves keep winning while West Ham just starts winning. A quick recap of Sunday’s doubleheader of action from the Premier League.

Wolves 1-0 Burnley

Wolverhampton is the real deal and Burnley is not the real deal. Wolves won their second straight match by getting past the Clarets at the Molineaux on one goal. Raul Jimenez was able to shoot one past Joe Hart and win the match for the newly promoted side. The 1-0 scoreline doesn’t tell the story since Wolves got 30 shots on Joe Hart’s net.

With the win, Wolves move up to eighth in the table and are two points ahead of Everton and Leicester. With Ruben Neves struggling slightly in the past couple of matches, Jonny and Matt Doherty have stepped up and both had great performances against Burnley.

The Clarets are in trouble and now sit in last place in the league. After 11 games played, Burnley is tired and will need to recuperate to keep their season alive. They will try to end their four-game losing streak against Bournemouth next week at Turf Moor.

Wolves will face another test when they travel to Old Trafford to face Manchester United. After tying Man City 1-1 back in August, Nuno Santo and his men will be confident against the red half of Manchester.

Everton 1-3 West Ham

West Ham’s first win of the season put Burnley in last and the Hammers in 16th. Manuel Pellegrini’s team finally showed off what they are capable of and how talented the attack is. Andriy Yarmolenko scored twice after a successful international break with Ukraine while Marko Arnautovic scored his third of the season.

Felipe Anderson was one of the catalysts of the offense in behind Arnautovic, pinging balls to the Austrian and using his speed to get by the Everton midfield. Another impressive performance came from Declan Rice who completed 33 of his 40 passes and held Everton’s attack in check.

The Toffees haven’t won their last three games and this loss breaks their undefeated mark. They will get Richarlison back from suspension next week when they play Arsenal and they also need a change of pace in defense. Mason Holgate and Kurt Zouma both struggled against West Ham and Arsenal’s attack might cause them more issues.

West Ham will begin a tough two weeks at home when they face Chelsea on Sunday in a London derby. The win they earned was important but they must keep up the momentum to get out of the cellar early in the season.
