A spoil for Wembley once again when Tottenham entertains Liverpool in the fourth top-six clash, that is also the opening fixture of Matchday 5.

When the weekend kicks off with this much heat, you can expect the rest of the league to be on fire. A great way to say welcome back to the English Premier League with a clash between two teams expressing the modern era in so many ways.

The game has a balance where no team is favourites. Taking many things into consideration and not just this season’s doings – justifies this tremendously. This game has a special place in Klopp’s heart most probably, seeing back in October 2015, Tottenham was his first English encounter.

Much like Klopp, his counterpart Mauricio Pochettino must also look forward to this fixture. A thorn in the side of the Reds since been employed at St. Mary’s – this guy knows exactly how to take points from them, especially when it’s a home fixture.

Since shaking hands as counterparts…

Since Klopp took over back in 2015, Mauricio had the pleasure of introducing Klopp to the English Premier League. It would have been an easy ask for Spurs to take all the points if Klopp wasn’t steering the Reds down a new path.

Despite that, the German made certain changes and took a point away from the home side in his first game in charge. After this first meeting, no team has bragging rights over the next. Out of the six fixtures played with these two in charge, there’s only been two victories, with four draws.

One win a piece for both clubs, plus the four draws displays the class of these two men and how well they doing in the English Premier League. The two have been ripping up the league with some fantastic football and quality squads.

Taking a look at both teams before kick off…
