Last Result: L 1-2 at. Watford

Next Matches: SAT vs. Liverpool & TUE vs. Internazionale

Spurs perfect record was snapped against Watford two weeks ago and they face Liverpool and Inter in the span of four days. Seems daunting but at least Tottenham welcomes back a very chipper Son Heung-Min for his EPL debut. The Korean spent the beginning of the season with his nation at the Asian Games. South Korea won gold and Son’s efforts mean he will avoid military service.

Last Result: W 2-1 vs. Newcastle United

Next Matches: SAT vs. Fulham & WED vs. Lyon

The champions needed a rocket from Kyle Walker to beat Newcastle two weeks ago and have been slightly off in their last two Premier League games. No De Bruyne has shown its issues with most of City’s attacking play happening on the flanks instead of in the middle of the pitch. The homestand continues with the match against Fulham and a Champions League return versus Lyon.

Last Result: W 2-1 vs. Tottenham Hotspur

Next Match: SAT vs. Manchester United

Entering the international break, Watford was one of four teams to start with four wins in the big five European leagues. The Hornets play has been nothing short of spectacular and a meeting with the Red Devils is the only thing standing in Javi Gracia’s way from getting 15 points in five games.

Jose Holebas has been the most effective defender in the EPL while Will Hughes and Troy Deeney are finding good chemistry and generating chances. This team is easily the story of the season thus far.

Last Result: W 2-0 vs. Bournemouth

Next Matches: SAT vs. Cardiff City & THU at. PAOK

Maurizio Sarri and Chelsea are perfect and the players have adapted to his system rather quickly. Eden Hazard is confident and pulling all the strings for the Blues while Marcos Alonso’s performances got him some Spain caps over the international break. Cardiff’s surprise performance against Arsenal is unlikely against Chelsea, who also open the Europa League in Greece on Thursday.

Last Result: W 2-1 at. Leicester City

Next Matches: SAT at. Tottenham Hotspur & TUE vs. PSG

Liverpool stays as the best team in the EPL and might be the best team in Europe. A win against Tottenham could be the first of many in a gauntlet of games coming up for Jurgen Klopp. If they did win, it would set up an amazing match at Anfield with Liverpool and PSG having perfect records in their respective leagues.

The EPL title is up for grabs and Man City will get challenged and tested by a couple of teams. If anything was proven during the first four matches of this season is that Liverpool is a serious title contender and a candidate for the best team in Europe.
