Goals, goals, and more goals in an exciting Saturday in the Premier League. All of the big six played with Liverpool and Chelsea highlighting the day.

Tottenham 1-2 Liverpool

The Reds will return home for the Champions League with a perfect record after a 2-1 win at Wembley against Tottenham. Georginio Wijnaldum opened the game with a header that crossed the line by just a few inches.

The Dutch midfielder has played a new role as more of a holding midfielder and he has adapted well. The second goal was a tap-in by Roberto Firmino, who left the game in the 74th-minute with an eye injury.

Erik Lamela’s 93rd-minute strike was too little too late for the home side in what was supposed to be their first game in the new stadium. The defense of Tottenham had a difficult time coping with Liverpool’s front-line, who generated 10 of Liverpool’s 17 shots all game. Michel Vorm was busy with eight saves but is still no replacement for Hugo Lloris.
