West Ham’s Marko Arnautovic has been a Premier League staple since 2013, and his qualities resemble those that some top 6 clubs are missing.

One of the most complete forwards in the entire division, Austria and West Ham. Marko Arnautovic has been a consistent performer in the Premier League for some time now. His recent transformation from a winger to a high-functioning, centre-forward has added another level to his game and although he is nearly 30, his qualities are significant enough to at least earn some interest from top clubs.

A physical specimen at 6’4, Arnautovic is one of the best finishers around, and his back-to-goal play is often impressive. His versatility across the forward line is perhaps something that could interest a club like Manchester United, who have struggled to find their ideal wing-pairing behind Romelu Lukaku. Arnautovic’s stats on both wings are impressive, and he could be a short-term answer to United’s particular issue on the right-wing.

2 other Top 6 clubs who should most certainly be looking at bringing in Arnautovic next summer: Liverpool or Spurs.

Liverpool’s front 3 are so difficult to describe. It’s almost as if even the most extravagant of superlatives fail to describe their true impact. They’re intelligent, strong, and ridiculously skilled. Yet, there still seems to be an issue with depth in their front-line.

Sure, bringing Xherdan Shaqiri was a great move by the club, but he isn’t capable of playing as a centre-forward, or replicating the qualities that Mane especially brings to the table. Here’s where Arnautovic comes in. He can play as a centre-forward, and on both flanks as mentioned earlier.

But he can play with his back to goal like Firmino, and be a driving, dangerous force from out-wide like Mane. Liverpool should absolutely be hot on his trail!

Spurs have a similar issue. Their wingers & attacking midfielders are filled to the brim with technique and intelligence, but there seems to be a lack of power & hunger in their side, which is an underrated quality. Arnautovic would add some much-needed dynamism to the Spurs team, along with being a more suitable backup to Kane than Llorente is and has been.

As for Manchester City and Chelsea, their wide options are aplenty already and both their squads doesn’t quite have room for Arnautovic. Arsenal are in rebuild and certainly can’t afford to add another ageing option to their squad, no matter the price.

Although Arnautovic is ageing, he can add valuable qualities to some of the top 6 sides. His blend of power, skill, and finishing has seen him torment Premier League defenders for some time now, and he belongs at a higher level.
