Best Match – Bournemouth 2-2 Everton
Bournemouth somehow escaped this match with their undefeated record still intact. The Cherries came back from 2-0 down to draw this one and get the seventh point this season. Besides the four goals, there were two red cards that seemed to not affect the match. Everton was up 1-0 with a man down. Everton also stays unbeaten but will be gutted they don’t have seven points going back home to face Huddersfield.
Best Player – Lucas Moura
This guy looks like the star we all thought he would be. With Son in Indonesia getting ready for the Asian Games semifinal against Vietnam, Lucas Moura has stepped in and started at right-wing against Mourinho’s Red Devils. He was splendid, scoring twice in the 3-0 win on his only two shots of the match. Even with Son’s return for the September 15th match against Liverpool, Lucas is playing his way to being a regular starter for Tottenham.
Best Fantasy Performance – Aleksandar Mitrovic
Mitrovic has regained his EFL Championship form and is now a must-have striker in the world of fantasy. He scored twice against Burnley, giving him three goals on the season with plenty more still to come. The Serbian has hit his stride and is a great second striker to have. If you bought the expensive Aguero or Kane, Mitrovic comes at £6.6million and he is a player that can stay in your squad for months.
Best Goal – Jean Michael Seri’s strike against Burnley
Seri’s first goal as a Fulham player was an absolute stunner. We haven’t gotten too many open play wonder goals thus far, but this one is a great way to kick it off. Seri showed his potential to be a world class talent and a piece in the Fulham puzzle to stay in the Premier League for the future.
Best Moment – Maguire’s winner
Leicester needed a hero against Southampton. Harry Maguire was the man to take the place of Jamie Vardy as the Super Fox. The English centerback ripped a shot past Alex McCarthy in stoppage time to secure a second consecutive win. What a goal and victory for Claude Puel against his former club.
