It’s good to have Aguero as your captain. Here are some quick hits in this week’s Top Flight Fantasy Update.

Week two in the Fantasy Premier League was a week we are used to seeing. Aguero got a lot of points, Chelsea defenders scored high, and Liverpool’s front three did something to get points. There were some surprises over the weekend as we look at a quick update around the fantasy world of the Premier League.

Top 5 players last week

T4. Marcos Alonso (Chelsea) – An assist and the winning goal in a London Derby. Once he gets clean sheets, its game over.

T4. Theo Walcott (Everton) – Walcott contributed in both of Everton’s goals. Consistency will make him a must-have midfielder.

3. Steve Cook (Bournemouth) – Cook’s winning goal makes him one of the top defenders this season. Still early days.

2. Neil Etheridge (Cardiff) – The hero of Cardiff had the best day a keeper could have. Clean sheet and a penalty save.

1. Sergio Aguero (Man City) – If you captained Aguero, you got 40 points. A hat-trick and an assist for the Argentine scoring master.

Top Flight league update

The best team for week two was Oteh FC of Indonesia with 98 points. The side had Aguero as the captain, Benjamin Mendy, Mo Salah, Sadio Mane, Richarlison, and Marko Arnautovic. This team is to be reckoned with all season. With Oteh FC in fourth, The Squat Squad moves into first after 93 points in week two. The Bangladesh side enjoyed performances from the same core as Oteh FC. Squat Squad has 179 points overall.

Amongst the Top Flight writers, resident Man United fan Uzair Madhani moves up to 26th overall and the best of us from the site. Despite having Wan Bissaka’s -2 point week, Aguero, Salah, Richarlison, and Maddison helped Madhani to a 71 point week. The league had a great matchday two overall.

3 players to pick for week three

3. Aleksander Mitrovic (Fulham) – Burnley’s defense will be exhausted against Fulham and the Serbian got his first goal last weekend. Could get another one or two on Sunday.

2. Any Spanish Chelsea player – Pedro, Alonso, Azpilicueta, or Morata are all good pickups. They generate goals and assists for the Blues. Could have more against a right-back-less Newcastle.
