English Premier League: Power Rankings after two games
By Orri Benatar
After two games, six teams are perfect and four are the complete opposite. We have some big movers in the latest Premier League power rankings.
Last Result: L 1-6 at. Manchester City
Next Week: SAT vs. Cardiff City
The Terriers are the worst team in the league after two games. With one goal and nine conceded against Chelsea and Man City, Huddersfield Town haven’t exactly been gifted an opponent they have a chance of drawing. Next weekend’s match versus Cardiff will show this teams true colors against opposition they can actually compete with.
Last Result: L 1-2 vs. Bournemouth
Next Week: SAT at. Arsenal
The Hammers are once again not fulfilling their true potential. With a 1-0 lead going into the tunnel in their first home game, they squandered the lead and lost to Bournemouth at home and stay with 0 points. When will this team click with all the new signings? Who knows. A recharged Arsenal might see this side pointless after three matches.
Last Result: T 0-0 vs. Newcastle United
Next Week: SAT at. Huddersfield Town
Neil Etheridge single-handedly got this team a point last weekend. Cardiff had a man advantage for more than twenty minutes and still allowed Newcastle to get forward and try to steal it. The Bluebirds are the only Premier League team without a goal and they could remain without one away at Huddersfield. Should be a close encounter.

Last Result: L 1-2 at. Everton
Next Week: SAT vs. Leicester City
The Saints looked a little bit better against Everton than in game one against Burnley. Danny Ings got his first goal for the club and Southampton had a few chances to get a point. The attack is still toothless and will need to find a creative midfield player in January to help with that. Leicester City should defeat the Saints next Saturday.

Last Result: L 1-3 vs. Watford
Next Week: THU at. Olympiacos & SUN at. Fulham
The long Thursday nights are catching up to Burnley. After Joe Hart kept three consecutive clean sheets for the Clarets, Watford opened them up and embarrassed Burnley at home. For at least two more weeks, Sean Dyche’s schedule will have a Thursday game. This week, it’s at Olympiacos, a favorite to progress to the group stage of the Europa League.
