Everton 2-1 Southampton

The Toffees had a tremendous first-half at Goodison Park with two great goals. Theo Walcott banged home a free-kick training play against his former club for his first goal of the season. Walcott then assisted a Richarlison header, his third in two matches.

The Saints got a minor consolation in their second straight loss when Danny Ings scored his first goal for the club in his first start. Ings and the Saints will host a Jamie Vardy-less Leicester while Everton goes to Bournemouth in a match between two of the best teams thus far.
