English Premier League: Harry Maguire ready to commit to Leicester City
It was said by the manager, the only time Harry will be at Manchester United this season was when the two met last weekend Friday, and it looks to be staying that way for now.
Earlier in the transfer window it was said Leicester were working hard to get one of their World Cup stars to resign and commit his future with the club, and it seems work hard they did.
The Telegraph reported Leicester City are close as well as confident, of signing their most priced possession at the moment. In all fairness, this doesn’t exactly spell safety for the Foxes as the draw closer to paying the player more wages.
It does however, help secure a bigger transfer fee for him, for if or when, any of the others come knocking again for the 1.9m long defender.
He will bank a good amount of pounds for the Foxes after the contract extension.

The contract talks and renewal makes sense for both parties. This, in no way says Maguire will be at the club to see out the extension of his new deal, but it can help push his fee up in a world where the market has seen some ridicule amounts.
As a World Cup semifinalist with England in Russia – Harry’s value could easily be in the same region of what Virgil van Dijk left Southampton for Liverpool. If £75,000-a-week is what is on offer, he must be getting less than Joe Hart. And that’s a major no, no.
The win for the player is the salary increase in the interim. With this happening this early after the summer window has just closed for the English Premier League, we can expect a rough ride during winter. This makes me believe things are being put in place in preparation for a bid as soon as winter.
Maguire was a doubt in the first fixture after returning late from international duty. Claude Puel will be happy that he will be better prepared for the worthy battle against Wolves. A contract renewal should be long completed by then.
