Bournemouth 2-0 Cardiff

The Cherries started the campaign off on the right foot with a 2-0 win at the Vitality against newly promoted Cardiff City. Ryan Fraser started the game off with a goal in the middle of the first half. Minutes later, Bournemouth almost made it 2-0 from the spot. Callum Wilson’s penalty was saved in the bottom corner by Neil Etheridge.

Wilson redeemed himself in stoppage time in the second half to seal the three points. The win is Bournemouth’s first ever on the opening weekend of a Premier League season. The Cherries go to London Stadium next week to play the Hammers while Cardiff will host Newcastle in Wales.
