It could have and should have been, all level before the first half ended. However, too many opportunities were squandered by the Foxes.

Claude Puel’s men were not terrible, yet, they were poor in their execution. Shots on goal, passes in the final third, ball lost too many times in the middle of the park, all made the job an extra bit harder for the visiting team.

Leicester’s £20 million signing, James Maddison was a lively figure and nearly proved why he was one of the hottest prospects in the summer transfer window. Him, along with other new signing Ricardo Pereira, appear to be great additions to the team. A difficult start to life in the Premier League when you have to take on Jose and United at Old Trafford.

The only question that has to be asked of Puel’s team selection, should Leicester’s top scorer, Jamie Vardy have started? Scoring a typical poacher’s goal after watching Kelechi Iheanacho miss half chances all game long, you have to ask this question.

Vardy’s late goal in stoppage time was too little too late, although, Kasper Schmeichel came close to a dramatic equalizer, just before the final whistle. It was too good to be true and the game ended with the home team making it one win in one game.
