Aggressive New Outlook

When Shad Khan purchased Fulham from the aforementioned Al-Fayed, the club was on the downswing. After peaking under Roy Hodgson in the late 2000’s, Fulham was relegated in Khan’s first season at the helm. But Khan is not one to sit complacently, and so he immediately began to change things.

Managers and players alike were brought in and shipped out until he found a winning combination. Now the team is gaining momentum, much like Khan’s NFL team the Jacksonville Jaguars, and he has no plans on slowing down. Rumor has it that Khan showed interest in moving the team from Craven Cottage to Wembley Stadium, showing that Khan has his eyes firmly set on a bigger brighter future for his club.

Mid-Table and Beyond

With the talent Fulham has and the signings they have brought in over the summer, the Cottagers should fare better than your average newly-promoted club. Fulham have been here before and plan to act like it. If Seri and Schurrle click and Sessegnon continues to shine, Fulham’s solid back line and midfield could carry them well past the relegation scrap.

Unless they sign a new striker I expect them to struggle a little to score at times. But if they are able to bring in someone like Newcastle’s Aleksandar Mitrovic, who has been linked with them all summer, they could climb well into the mid-table.

What’s more is that the team is built for a cup run. It may run a little on the thin side for a Premier League club, but with a solid defense and a few players who can create a few magic moments in a game, look for Fulham to surprise people in the league and FA cups this season.
