EPL: Busy Wednesday ahead across America in the ICC

Where: MetLife Stadium – East Rutherford, New Jersey

When: 8:00 pm EST on ESPN2

The lights will be bright underneath some of the best stars of the EPL. Our first all-EPL match couldn’t be a bigger occasion. The champions, Manchester City, against a stacked Liverpool side near New York City. While MetLife Stadium is home to the New York Giants and New York Jets of the NFL, it is technically not in New York.

Liverpool could have Mo Salah, Sadio Mane, and Naby Keita all playing at one point in the match, a good glimpse of the potential of the Reds for this season. Manchester City’s main stars are on holiday after the World Cup, leaving Liverpool with a stronger preseason roster. Riyad Mahrez and Leroy Sane both played in the ICC opener against Dortmund and should play tonight. After tonight, the next time these two teams will face is October 6th at Anfield.

Where: SDCCU Stadium – San Diego, California

When: 10:00 pm EST on ESPN2

Spurs begin their preseason on the West Coast against UCL semifinalists AS Roma. The site is the San Diego County Credit Union Stadium (*deep breath*). With no more NFL team in San Diego, the stadium hasn’t had too many big events recently. The tour squad for Tottenham is comprised mostly of youngsters since a majority of Spurs’ stars had deep runs in the World Cup.

Son Heung-Min, Christian Eriksen, and Victor Wanyama pop out as the big players for the USA tour. Roma is also ready to show off its young talent in their second friendly match. Justin Kluivert and Lorenzo Pellegrini are two to watch out for in this late match in California.

Where: StubHub Center – Carson, California

When: 11:00 pm EST on ESPN

The final match of the day will be a classic clash between AC Milan and Manchester United. Both clubs are attempting to regain former glories this season and will begin their ICC journey at the home of the LA Galaxy. The Red Devils haven’t had the best of starts to their preseason.

They drew against Club America and the San Jose Earthquakes in two games on the West Coast. The ICC will be a chance for Mourinho’s men to pick up the slack and get some victories. Gennaro Gattuso and AC Milan won their lone friendly 2-0 against Novara on Friday. Milan’s top talent on board includes Leonardo Bonucci, Gianluigi Donnarumma, and Suso.
