Transfer news: Chelsea and Real Madrid moving swiftly in Courtois deal
Time has no place in the transfer world as things either transpires extremely slow. Or, it moves quicker than fast, and the player’s at his new destination in no time.
Before the World Cup, English Premier League team doing the most business were the Gunners, West Ham, Liverpool, and others. After the denouement of the world’s most viewed event – Chelsea took the torch and lead the headlines.
After finally resolving all issues with their managers, things between the club and players on their way out and into the club, have moved along swiftly. Chelsea have just announced their man at the helm and the man himself has vowed to do right at Chelsea.
This not so right however
After just completing the World Cup as a plate finalist with his country Belgium, it seems as though Thibaut Courtois is set to leave Stamford Bridge. As early as the morning reports surfaced from reputable sources – the stopper is poised for a move all the way back to Spain.
Only this time to link up with Atletico Madrid rivals, Real Madrid. As the day progressed from morning to afternoon and afternoon into night – talks appeared to be moving faster than anticipated. It is said both clubs have struck gold and have reached an agreement for the player to move over to the Spanish giants.
The deal is said to be in bracket of £35 million. Yes, I know shockingly low!
Why so low and why so easy?
The keeper and their star player were in contract disputes with the club, and having only a year left on his contract, Chelsea must act fast before they lose him for free.
Real Madrid are also in need of a better stopper over current first choice, Keylor Navas. The Stamford Bridge side has also been linked with a couple of replacements for the outgoing Courtois, so this one is happening.

Currently both, Alisson Becker and Kasper Schmeichel are being strongly linked with Chelsea. With Alisson being the strongest of them all. It is also said the Spanish side is not to stop by Chelsea’s keeper, with his countryman in mention as well.
