Alisson Becker: Who will win the transfer war – Chelsea or Liverpool

The World Cup hasn’t even been forgotten and already transfers are flying all over the world. Big battle with Liverpool leading the chase over Chelsea.

A goalkeeper appears to be the priority signing for both of these English powerhouses. Both, Liverpool and Chelsea are said to be locked in a tug of war for Roma and World Cup sensation, Alisson Becker.

It is no secret these two clubs are in need of fresh stoppers. The former plagued with error-prone goalkeepers and the latter, almost out of a world-class number one in Thibaut Courtois. If the aforementioned does complete a transfer to Real Madrid – a new man will be needed to take up the number one vacancy.

The Reds offer

The Reds sit on the other side of the fence, giving star players exactly what they need and want. Liverpool can offer Champions League football., something not with Klopp as a bargaining chip when he was installed as the boss.

Now a successive feature in the Anfield side’s regime come the new season. This is said to be the key persuasion in Alisson’s decision. The Merseyside outfit is said to have put in a bid in the region of £62 million pounds.

The Blues offer

The Blues are said to be willing to match that offer and a better salary, considering they only have Europa League football to put forward. With two of the club’s biggest stars rumoured to be on their way out, a huge sum of wages will be freed up.

Chelsea are said to be on the hold and will only put in a bid if the player is willing to snub the Anfield side, which is unlikely now that the player is reported wanting the move over to Liverpool.

As recent as now – reports suggest Liverpool are in advance talks with the Italian club Roma, in a deal for the transfer of Alisson. Roma however, are said to be holding out for a bid from Chelsea, as it could be more tempting.

These two clubs are making serious rounds in the transfer world, giving the impressing they fighting on all fronts next season.
