Will the club look for a new Kante partner, or do they already have one?

Cesc Fabregas – Cesc has been making his name as a pundit for the World Cup on BBC, but his playing career is far from over. Valencia and Villarreal are both set to battle for his services, and he is apparently keen on a return to Spain. At the age of 31, he has had an inconsistent season and should leave after missing out on the World Cup squad.

Danny Drinkwater – It was a bizarre decision last summer to replace Nemanja Matic with Drinkwater, who has struggled exceedingly for playing time. His transfer single-handedly ended his personal hopes of an England place, and West Ham want to rescue him from his nightmare.

N’Golo Kante – The Frenchman was named Chelsea’s Player of the Season, and his career is continuing to go from strength to strength. He has been linked with moves to Real Madrid or Paris Saint Germain. But, he is the one player that the club will not want to leave at all costs.

Ross Barkley – The promising midfielder joined from Everton in January, but struggled for playing time after a return from injury. He is reportedly frustrated at his lack of playing time. A good pre-season would put him into the plans of the manager. He could leave, but what would be the point of his transfer?
