The club have good options at full back, but a replacement for one may be required.

Marcos Alonso – The goal-scoring wing back made the PFA team of the season in 2017-2018. He has also scored 14 league goals in his first two seasons at Chelsea. There were reports in Spain at the end of May that Lionel Messi wants Barcelona to recruit the Spaniard. However, he vocally stated that he was happy at Chelsea.

Emerson – He joined the side in the January transfer window, and has impressed so far. Therefore, he will remain at the club having only just signed for the club.

Victor Moses – Moses has been inconsistent this season for Chelsea, but was a part of the title-winning campaign in 2016-17. Whilst he isn’t exactly a fans favourite, the other right back has a higher chance of departing.

Davide Zappacosta – The Italian has endured a simply underwhelming season for Chelsea, and his one year tenure in England looks set to end. Inter Milan have reportedly made him their number one transfer target this summer, and a transfer looks likely.
