Chelsea had a disastrous Premier League title defence. This could lead to some of the key players at the club looking for a transfer.

They went from title winners the year before, to a side who missed out on the coveted top four. Whilst they did win the FA Cup, the damage was already done. Speculation has been sparked for a long time, and eventually the inevitable departure of Antonio Conte happened .

How long business will take is another story. The Stamford Bridge side has made things difficult for themselves with 11 weeks left before pre season. If the manager is a priority, when will the transfer business become important?

Chelsea must not risk hasty business during the transfer window. With the window being shorter and the World Cup in full swing, the Blues’ business has a small window.

Regardless of who is at the helm next season, this is my Chelsea summer transfer plan. I will consider each player from every position. I will also discuss the likelihood of a move ahead of August the 9th, the transfer deadline day.
