What started as a day turned into a week. From one week to a couple of weeks. Business for the Blues has been the longest of the lot. Hopefully things are solved and we see some new faces.
It looks as if all the wheel of the Chelsea bus are rolling. While other teams are well on their way scouting and adding, the Blues are fighting for visas and paying this contract out, while negotiating a good deal with somebody on the way out.
Regrettable for some and celebrated by others, it has been reported Chelsea have parted ways with Antonio Conte. For those in the latter mood, the Evening Standard reported afore the news of the sacking, Sarri was the man who is in the lead and set to be announced sometime this week.
Taken from the Evening Standard:
"Sarri’s agents have been holding talks with Chelsea in London and he is expected to be appointed as soon as the club can find an agreement with boss Antonio Conte, who would be due £9.5 million in compensation if he were sacked now.It is believed the Italian would prefer the payment to be a single, one-off sum, whereas Chelsea’s policy is to deliver a weekly salary."
But it seems as if all this is in the past with Bein Sports and other reports headlining the same headline ‘Chelsea sacked Conte’. After stagnated progress, or none rather. The London club appear to be moving faster.
It’s understandable though, a lot of money involved in both, sacking Conte and signing Sarri. It’s only normal for the club and the managers involved to handle business with care. Everybody wants to leave on a good note and sign in good faith.
The good news blues
More exciting news followed after all this Antonio drama (A manager who some will now call ‘The Sulking One’). Once all the other loose ends are tired up on the other end of the Chelsea inclusion (Sarri as the new boss), Roman Abramovich wants the Stamford Bridge legend involved as an assistant.

Gianfranco Zola is being considered as a new image in the new look Chelsea for 2018-2019 season. It’s almost been a month and half since the last update of this saga that finally appears to be over. Not confirmed, but it was and is, a matter of when and not if.
If Spain did not sack their manager, this would have been the biggest managerial story before the new season.
