Arsenal’s squad is certainly the weakest out of the top 6, but small additions here and there could make all the difference in the long-run.

Many of these Arsenal players are simply put, not living up to their full potential. This was a major issue under Arsene Wenger that should be changed by Unai Emery through months of work.

Although the squad is decent, the Gunners must improve their problematic areas to have any chance of reaching the top 4 next season. The signings of Lichtsteiner and Sokratis are good, experienced arrivals, but Mislintat, Emery and co must focus on bringing in younger players, who can make an instant impact in the first team, such as Caglar Soyuncu at centre back and Lucas Torreira in midfield.

If Arsenal have an ideal summer, their squad should look like this next season:

Leno, Cech; Bellerin, Lichtsteiner, Monreal, Kolasinac; Mustafi, Sokratis, Mavropanos, Koscielny, Holding or Chambers, Soyuncu or Pavard; Xhaka, Ramsey, Wilshere, Torreira, Elneny, Ozil, Iwobi; Mkhitaryan, Pavon or Martins, Nketiah, Nelson, Aubameyang, Lacazette.
