The Group

This is perhaps the main reason why England will go far this year. Looking at their group, it’s almost as if they bribed someone. Tunisia? Panama? Belgium? Alright, that last one will be tricky but it seems like this stage will be a walk in the park for England.

Panama is in the World Cup for the first time ever and should have a quick exit. None of their players are in any of the top 6 leagues in the world.

Tunisia will not be much of a threat to England as well. Aside from not being a football powerhouse, they have also been hit hard by injuries.

Belgium will be the biggest threat to England as they are a more skilled and complete team. Kevin De Bruyne, Eden Hazard, Romelu Lukaku, Dries Mertens, and Yannick Carrasco will be virtually unstoppable this time around. Fortunately for England, they can still qualify for the Round of 16 as runners-up.

In the Round of 16, their luck will still not have run out. They will most likely face either Colombia or Poland. While both teams will be hard to beat, neither have the number of weapons England has.

This will take the Three Lions to the quarterfinals where their journey will likely end. They will probably face Germany and, to be honest, there isn’t a great chance England will win. Still, they will push Germany to the limit and fight for a place in the semifinals.

This is England’s best-looking team in years. Multiple attacking options and a capable defense will get the Three Lions far this World Cup. They should be more successful than they have been in over a decade.
